What We Do
Companies don’t cut trees or lay turf, people do. Silver Tree Services runs more than thirty staff across seven specialist teams from our base at Shurdington, near Cheltenham: arborists, grounds staff, landscapers, machine operators, and the office team that keeps quotes, schedules, and paperwork moving. Every operational role is backed by the relevant NPTC, IPAF, or trade qualification, because on our sites, competence is certificated, not assumed.

Austen 'Oz'
Chief Operating Officer
Austen BA (Hons), PGCE, FCMI is Chief Operating Officer of Silver Tree, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight across the organisation’s landscaping, grounds maintenance, arboriculture, Soft Wash, nursery and training divisions. A Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a graduate of the Level 7 Strategic Leadership programme, he works with the leadership team to shape company strategy, policies, systems and governance, ensuring the business remains efficient, compliant and well placed for future opportunities. He also oversees the maintenance and recertification of industry accreditations, drives business development and new client relationships, and manages day-to-day operations. His combination of operational expertise, commercial awareness and people-focused leadership has been central to Silver Tree’s continued growth.
Neil
Tree Surgery & Commercial Arboriculture Manager
Neil leads the arboriculture department at Silver Tree Services, bringing more than 25 years of industry experience. He takes real pride in watching the department grow and strengthen in an increasingly demanding sector, and in the progress the team has made together. Having always held that finding a career you genuinely love means never working a day in your life, Neil has found exactly that in arboriculture, with its mix of physical skill, resilience and professional satisfaction, and looks forward to contributing to Silver Tree’s continued growth.
Tom
Landscaping Manager
Tom’s passion for landscaping started long before joining Silver Tree Services. After successfully running his own landscaping business for several years, he brought his experience and leadership skills to the team as Landscaping Manager. With over 10 years in the industry, Tom enjoys working closely with clients and helping bring outdoor spaces to life, from initial ideas through to completion.
Ben
Grounds Maintenance Manager
Ben has been a valued member of the STS team for over six years. Starting in a part-time role, he has worked his way up to become Manager of our Grounds Maintenance division. With extensive experience serving both residential and commercial clients, Ben prides himself on delivering tailored maintenance solutions and bespoke contracts designed to meet every customer’s individual requirements.
Pete
Nurseries Manager
Pete’s passion for growing and nurturing plants started in his youth, inspired by his father’s extensive knowledge of gardening and the natural world. He has remained an avid gardener ever since, and combining that with the industry knowledge he has gained at Silver Tree to supply planting solutions in a rapidly changing climate is something close to his heart.
Jen
Business Support
Jen is the first port of call for Silver Tree, ensuring clients receive a warm welcome and a swift response, whether it is a general enquiry, a question about an ongoing project, or booking a site visit for a quote. Behind the scenes, she provides vital operational support to our three core departments, Landscaping, Maintenance and Tree Surgery, managing busy schedules and keeping daily operations running smoothly. Jen thoroughly enjoys her role and is proud to be part of the Silver Tree family.
Wesley 'Wez'
Marketing & Research Officer
Wez runs the digital side of Silver Tree. Websites, search, social media and branding all land on his desk, along with the research that shapes them. The short version: if you found us online, read something on this site, or spotted us on the socials, it probably started with Wez. Fifteen years of building websites & graphics, now pointed at trees.
